Lulin Calibration Platform Installed

The platform to calibrate Cimel sunphotometers was installed at Mt. Lulin in the premises of LABS. At this facility, 6 field instruments can be calibrated simultaneously.

Inauguration of APAC

APAC was formally inaugurated by the distinguished guests from the MoEnv – Taiwan, NASA, and the partner institutions.

Performed First Direct-Sun calibration at Lulin Platform

The first direct-sun calibration was performed based on the measurements taken at Mt. Lulin.

Sept 11, 2024

Eligible to perform Langley Calibration

APAC became eligible to perform Langley calibration at Lulin calibration facility. This was acheived by clearing more than 80 degree clearance by clearing the trees around the platform.

March 14, 2025

The Philippines AERONET sites joined APAC

The AERONET sites Manila_Observatory and ND_Marbel_Univ joined APAC as the first international partners.

June 26, 2024

Vietnam AERONET sites joined APAC

The AERONET sites in the Vietnam joined the APAC. APAC helps the site through the instrument monitoring, troubleshooting, and calibration process.

Hokkaido_University site joined APAC

The Hokkaido_University site in Japan joined the APAC. APAC helps the site through the instrument monitoring, troubleshooting, and calibration process.
